Hostel cook stabbed to death in Gachibowli, co-worker held

A hostel cook was allegedly stabbed to death by a fellow staff member at Anjaiah Nagar in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, with police taking the accused into custody.

The deceased was identified as Sashidhar, who worked as a cook at a men's hostel in the area, according to reports.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the killing. The accused, identified as Pramod, was also employed at the same hostel and allegedly attacked Sashidhar with a knife.

The incident took place at the hostel in Anjaiah Nagar, a residential locality in Gachibowli that has several private hostels and paying guest accommodations.

The victim sustained serious stab injuries and died following the attack. Police took the accused into custody and began questioning him to establish the motive and sequence of events.

Investigators are also examining the circumstances inside the hostel and whether any dispute between the two men preceded the attack.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination as part of the investigation. Police are recording statements of hostel staff and other people who may have information about the incident.
