Two FIRs registered over INDIA bloc march to Supreme Court in Delhi

Delhi Police have registered two FIRs at the Barakhamba Road and Tilak Marg police stations in connection with the opposition’s march towards the Supreme Court against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, officials said on Tuesday.
Police said permission had not been granted for the march to the Supreme Court. They also alleged that several opposition leaders were seen breaking police barricades with the help of a mini-truck during Monday’s demonstration.
The ‘March for Democracy’ brought together several INDIA bloc leaders, activists and supporters to protest against alleged voter deletions and irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls under Kumar.
Those who participated in the march included Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee.
