DU asks UG aspirants to complete CSAS preferences by July 11

Delhi University officials on Wednesday urged undergraduate aspirants to carefully complete subject mapping and programme preferences on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal by July 11.

A one-time correction window will be available from July 10 to July 11 following requests from students who made errors while filling their details, they said.

During a webinar to guide applicants through the admission process, university officials said students can seek assistance through eight helpline numbers available on the admission website, besides email support and a chatbot on the portal.

Delhi University Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi, during the webinar, said the corresponding team will respond to queries virtually between 10 am and 5.30 pm.

Officials said admissions will be conducted for 73 undergraduate programmes offered across 69 colleges and departments, with a total of 71,624 seats available. Around 150 BA programme combinations will be available, while the detailed seat matrix has already been uploaded on the university website.

They said the undergraduate admission process comprises three phases — profile creation, subject mapping and preference filling.

The first and second phases are currently running simultaneously, and candidates have until 11.59 pm on July 11 to complete subject mapping and fill in programme and college preferences, after which they will be automatically locked, the officials said.

Admissions under supernumerary categories, including sports and extracurricular activities, will also be processed based on candidates’ preferences, they added.
