Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 95 lifts India to 475/8 against Sri Lanka

Dhruv Jurel continued to strengthen his case as a dependable Test batter, remaining unbeaten on 95 as India reached 475 for 8 before rain brought an early tea on day two of the second Test against Sri Lanka on Monday.

Jurel, who has faced 155 deliveries, struck nine boundaries during his determined innings and was unbeaten alongside Mohammed Siraj, who was yet to open his account.

India lost two wickets in the post-lunch session, with Rishabh Pant departing for 63 and Manav Suthar falling for 18. Pant and Jurel had earlier put together a crucial 112-run partnership for the seventh wicket.
