Delhi CM, LG extend Janmashtami greetings, wish peace and prosperity

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Friday extended greetings to people on Janmashtami, wishing happiness, peace and prosperity for all.
In a post on X, Gupta invoked Lord Krishna and conveyed her wishes to people on the occasion of the festival marking his birth. “May the grace of Lord Shri Krishna, the Lord of Dwarka, bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to every home. May His life and the eternal message of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita forever keep us steadfast on the path of righteousness, duty, and the welfare of all,” Gupta posted on X
She also referred to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, saying Lord Krishna’s life and message should continue to guide people towards righteousness, duty and the welfare of all.
“Jai Shri Krishna,” she said in her post. Sandhu also greeted people on the occasion, saying he bowed to Krishna, whom he described as the “Guru of the world”.
“I bow to Krishna, the Guru of the world. On the sacred occasion of the birth festival of Lord Shri Krishna, heartfelt wishes for Janmashtami to all of you,” Sandhu said in a post on X. He also wished that Lord Krishna’s blessings remain with people and their families.
