CM Rekha Gupta directs officials to implement welfare schemes transparently

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta directed senior officials to ensure that all welfare schemes and development projects announced in the state Budget are implemented transparently and within the stipulated timeframe.

The Chief Minister chaired a review meeting through video conferencing with administrative secretaries and heads of departments to assess the progress of public welfare initiatives and development works.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Gupta instructed officials to execute every Budget announcement effectively with transparency and accountability so that benefits reach the public without delay.

“The chief minister directed the officers to implement every announcement in the budget effectively with transparency, accountability, and within the stipulated timeframe,” the CMO said in a statement.

The meeting focused on monitoring the status of various welfare schemes, infrastructure projects and governance-related initiatives announced by the Delhi government.

Meanwhile, CM Rekha Gupta also appealed to citizens to remain cautious amid the ongoing heatwave conditions in the national capital.

In a message posted on social media platform X, she urged people to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and take care of their families during the extreme weather.

“Drink plenty of water, keep your body hydrated and protect yourself from the harsh sunlight,” Gupta said.

She also appealed to residents to care for animals and birds by arranging water and shade for them during the intense summer heat.
