CJP supporters protest in Delhi over alleged assault of student's father

Supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), including its spokesperson Saurav Das, gathered outside the Parliament Street police station on Friday, demanding action against self-styled Hindutva influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj over the alleged assault of a student's father.
The protest followed a viral interview in which Bhardwaj claimed that he had assaulted Sanjay Kumar, father of CJP protester Nishu Azad, during a demonstration at Jantar Mantar on July 20.
The CJP alleged that Delhi Police had failed to take strict action against Bhardwaj and demanded justice for Sanjay.
The protesters raised slogans against the Delhi Police during the demonstration.
Delhi Police, however, has disputed the claim that Sanjay suffered a skull fracture. Police said he sustained a minor injury during a scuffle and that a case was registered based on his complaint.
Security arrangements were strengthened around the police station, with additional personnel deployed and barricades installed to maintain law and order. (with inputs from PTI)
