CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam 2026 Dates Out; LOC Submission From June 2

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for the Class 12 supplementary examination 2026. According to the board, the supplementary exam will be conducted on July 15, 2026, in a single-day format for eligible students.
CBSE has clarified that students who passed Class 12 in 2026 but wish to improve their performance in one subject can apply for the examination. Students placed in the compartment category in 2026 are also eligible to appear.
In addition, students from the 2025 batch who were placed in the compartment category can also apply for the supplementary examination. For many of these students, this will be the final opportunity to clear the compartment, as CBSE permits only three attempts.
The board will begin the List of Candidates (LOC) submission process from June 2, 2026. Schools and candidates will have to complete the submission process through the online mode only.
CBSE has instructed schools and students to carefully verify all information before final submission, as no corrections or modifications will be allowed once the LOC is submitted.
The supplementary examination is conducted to help students improve their scores or clear compartment subjects without losing an academic year.
CBSE is expected to release detailed guidelines regarding admit cards, examination timings and result declaration in the coming weeks through its official website.
The announcement comes shortly after CBSE declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026, with lakhs of students checking their scorecards through official portals, DigiLocker and UMANG.
