Building in Rohini collapsed, rescue operation underway after under-construction house falls

An under-construction house collapsed in northwest Delhi’s Rohini area evening amid heavy rainfall, triggering a rescue operation by emergency teams.

The incident took place around 4:20 pm near an MCD school in Rohini Sector-16. Officials from the Delhi Fire Service said that two people have been rescued from the debris so far, while efforts are continuing to locate and rescue others.

Four rescue teams from the Delhi Fire Service were immediately deployed at the site. Police, NDRF personnel and other emergency teams also reached the spot and began relief operations.

The area has been cordoned off as authorities carry out search and rescue work. Further details regarding casualties and the cause of the collapse are awaited.
