BJP links Manish Tewaris post to Congress infighting, says party in 'tukde tukde mode'

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday alleged that the Congress is witnessing deep internal divisions after senior party leader Manish Tewari posted cryptic messages on social media following his exclusion from the party's revamped Punjab organisational structure.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla claimed the Congress was in "tukde tukde mode" and accused it of sidelining leaders who do not put the Gandhi family first.

Poonawalla alleged that factional rivalries had become visible across several Congress units, including Punjab, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

He also claimed there was growing dissatisfaction within the party over its leadership, saying experienced leaders were increasingly being ignored. BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha echoed the criticism, suggesting the Gandhi family was at odds with capable party leaders.

The BJP's remarks came after Manish Tewari shared a cryptic post on X expressing frustration over "insecurities of individuals and institutions" following reports that he had not been assigned any organisational responsibility in the Punjab Congress reshuffle ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. The Congress has not officially responded to the BJP's allegations.
