Auto driver slain by neighbour in broad daylight in Hyderabad over personal rivalry

An auto-driver in his late 30s succumbed to death in broad daylight on August 4 in Singarenny Colony, Saidabad. He was rushed to the Osmania General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased, identified as Amer, was on his way home after dropping his daughter at school where Suman, the alleged accused, struck him with a sickle. Amer collapsed on the road after sustaining grievous injuries.
According to the Police Investigation, the attack was carried out over personal grudges. Yakutpura MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj raised serious concerns over the rising crime rate in the state and demanded a swift investigation. “This incident is completely barbaric… Ameer has eight children… Now who will take care of them?” he said.
The police has registered a case under the accused and launched a manhunt.
