Are we preparing children for exams or for life?

Every year, millions of children work hard to achieve good grades. While academic success is important, an important question remains: Are we preparing children only for examinations, or are we preparing them for life?
Today's students face constant pressure from studies, social media and expectations. Many silently struggle with stress, anxiety and fear of failure. Unfortunately, their emotional well-being often receives less attention than their report cards.
Rima Bhandari believes that education should develop not only knowledge but also confidence, resilience and emotional strength. Before becoming an Energy Coach and Healer, she had a successful career as a physiotherapist. Her personal journey through depression taught her that true health is incomplete without mental and emotional well-being, inspiring her to dedicate her life to helping others build inner strength.
Parents, teachers and schools must work together to create an environment where children feel safe expressing their emotions. Emotional well-being programmes, mindfulness practices and open conversations should become part of education.
The future will belong not only to students with high marks, but also to those who are emotionally resilient, compassionate and prepared for life's challenges.
