Ambuja Cements Q4 profit jumps 37.4 pc to Rs 1,857.43 cr

The Adani Group firm Ambuja Cements Ltd on Monday reported a 37.43 per cent increase in its profit after tax to Rs 1,857.43 crore in the March quarter of 2025-26 compared to the year-ago period.

It had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1,351.46 crore in the January-March quarter of the last fiscal, according to a regulatory filing from Ambuja Cements Ltd (ACL).

ACL’s consolidated revenue from operations was at Rs 10,891.68 crore, up 10 per cent in the March quarter of FY26 compared to Rs 9,894.41 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Total expenses were at Rs 10,525.09 crore, up 19.3 per cent in Q4 of FY26.

Its revenue from cement was at Rs 10,417.69 crore, up 8.6 per cent during the quarter. Ready Mix Concrete contributed Rs 581.95 crore, up 36.54 per cent over the same period of FY25.

Total consolidated sales volume of ACL, the second-largest cement manufacturer of the country, stood at 19.9 million tonnes (MT) during the quarter, up 9.34 per cent. In the March quarter, the Adani Group firm, which has in the past made acquisitions to expand its operating capacity, reported “highest ever quarterly revenue” along with “highest ever sales volume”.

Its total consolidated income, which includes other income as well, was up 5.64 per cent to Rs 11,149.36 crore. It was at Rs 10,553.81 crore in the corresponding March quarter of FY25.

Commenting on the results, ACL Whole Time Director & CEO Vinod Bahety said, “Volumes grew well ahead of the industry, followed by improved realisations driven by a higher share of trade & premium products, and better utilisation of the existing assets.”

The consolidated results of Ambuja Cements include the financial performance of its step-down firm ACC Ltd, in which it owns around 51 per cent stake along with Orient Cements and others.

On a standalone basis, which includes only ACL’s performance, in the March quarter, its revenue from operations was up 5.51 per cent to Rs 6,972.21 crore, and its PAT was up two-fold to Rs 1,643.66 crore.

In the entire FY26, ACL reported a profit of Rs 5,637.08 crore, up 6.47 per cent. Total consolidated income rose 5.64 per cent to Rs 41,490.02 crore during the financial year ended March 2026.
