A renewed mandate boots Assam

Assam has completed the first 100 days of its renewed mandate with a clear focus on development, delivery and public welfare. From May 12 to August 20, 2026, the State Government, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has worked to translate its mandate into decisive action and strengthen the foundations of a more prosperous and inclusive Assam.

The first 100 days have focused on accelerating infrastructure and connectivity while creating more opportunities for employment and enterprise. The Government has also focused on empowering women, strengthening social welfare, and advancing key sectors such as education and healthcare.

Alongside these priorities, efforts to support farmers and rural livelihoods reflect a wider commitment to ensuring that development reaches communities across the State.

Assam's culture, heritage and identity remain an important part of this development journey. The Government's Stated priorities  seek to balance economic progress with preserving the State's distinctive cultural character. The renewed mandate also highlights the importance of responsive governance and a strong Centre-State partnership in taking Assam forward.

Together, these efforts aim to build a more prosperous, inclusive, and future-ready State. As Assam moves ahead, the first 100 days represent a period of decisive action and renewed confidence, with the Government reiterating its commitment to development and public welfare and placing the people's trust at the centre of its responsibility.

The trust of the people is our strength; the development of Assam is our responsibility
