Three killed in two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur
Three people were killed after being run over by vehicles in two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district on Saturday morning, police said.
In the first incident, two motorcycle-borne men were killed after a bus rammed into their bike in the Tilhar police station area, police said.
Superintendent of Police Saurabh Dixit identified the victims as Somesh Shukla, 24, and Mohit Awasthi, 23, both residents of Kanegaon.
The two were on their way to the Neem Karoli temple when a bus allegedly hit their motorcycle from behind.
They were rushed to the Government Medical College, where they succumbed to their injuries, police said.
In the second incident, a 26-year-old mini-truck driver was killed after an unidentified truck ran him over while he was repairing his vehicle after it broke down.
The victim, identified as Satish, was repairing the mini-truck when the truck allegedly ran him over, killing him on the spot.
Police said further investigation was underway in both cases.
