Resolve public grievances on time: MP CM to officials
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday directed senior officials to ensure that public grievances and routine citizen-related work are resolved within stipulated timelines, preferably before they reach the CM Helpline. Reviewing 21 priority initiatives at Mantralaya, he said public welfare should remain the administration’s highest priority.
Yadav said the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan 2026, under which weekly camps and public interaction programmes are being organised, has shown encouraging results over the past three weeks. He directed departments to prepare a one-month advance plan for the campaign and said that if Friday camps cannot be held due to festivals or other reasons, they should be organised the following Saturday.
The Chief Minister also announced that biometric attendance systems are being introduced at Mantralaya, Vindhyachal and Satpura buildings in Bhopal, with a proposal to extend the system to districts. Senior officers will monitor timely attendance and disposal of official work.
On rural development, Yadav directed officials to finalise a campaign for free registration of residential land rights in village areas, identify land required for housing needs over the next 10 years and provide residential pattas to landless families. He said free registration would also help rural residents access bank loans more easily.
He also ordered early implementation of the Narmada Samagra Mission, aimed at preserving the river’s flow and purity while integrating pollution control, environmental protection, cultural participation and inter-departmental coordination. Reviewing urban infrastructure, Yadav said municipal bodies must ensure adequate drinking water supply and proper sewerage management. He called for stronger technical staffing and coordination with the Public Health Engineering Department.
The Chief Minister also reviewed development of major religious and tourism destinations. He said Rs 160 crore is being spent on 10 works under the Ram Van Gaman Path project, while 20 additional locations
have been identified. Development of Kamadgiri Parikrama in Chitrakoot, Gupt Godavari, Sati Anusuya, Mamleshwar temple, Datia and Orchha was also reviewed. He said projects worth Rs 225 crore are being implemented under the Shri Krishna Patheya initiative.
For Simhastha 2028, Yadav directed officials to focus not only on infrastructure but also crowd management. Major religious sites in Ujjain are to be developed through a temple bond mechanism.
The meeting also reviewed expansion of the State Industrial Security Force from 2,000 to 5,000 personnel, special recruitment for Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya youth, finalisation of Home Guard recruitment rules, creation of a Madhya Pradesh Rapid Action Force and an increase in the Counter Terrorist Group strength from 50 to 250.
