State-owned REC Limited has committed Rs 1.40 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for the implementation of the ‘Green Innovator Immersive Learning Lab’ project in 10 government schools in Haryana’s Karnal district.
The project will be implemented by I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), a technology innovation hub associated with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the initiative was signed on May 14, 2026, at REC’s corporate office in Gurugram. The agreement was signed by Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Ashutosh Dutt Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of IHFC.
The ‘Green Innovator Immersive Learning Lab’ project aims to strengthen experiential learning in government schools through the use of advanced educational technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), 3D learning tools, and STEM-based learning modules.
The initiative will also focus on equipping students with future-ready skills, including coding, robotics, innovation, and digital literacy, helping them adapt to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
According to REC Limited, the collaboration reflects the company’s continued commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing students in government schools with access to advanced technological learning environments.
The project is expected to create a more engaging and interactive educational experience for students while encouraging innovation and scientific thinking at the school level.
