Makers of 'Ramayana' release Yash's poster

The makers of "Ramayana" have unveiled the first-look poster of actor Yash, who plays Ravana in the upcoming film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is produced by Namit Malhotra's DNEG and Prime Focus Studios.

The poster, released on an Instagram handle on Saturday and later reshared by Yash, features the actor wearing a glittering golden crown embellished with gems, layered pearl necklaces and gold bracelets.

"Ravana," read the caption accompanying the poster.

The film has been mounted as a global-scale adaptation, with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer and Grammy-winning composer James Newton Howard attached to the music.

"Ramayana" stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, while Vivek Oberoi features as Vidyutjihva, among others.

The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
