R Praggnanandhaa plays chess with TN CM in Chennai, wins friendly game during courtesy meeting

In a light-hearted and memorable interaction in Chennai, Indian chess Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and played a friendly game of chess during a courtesy visit.
Speaking about the meeting, Praggnanandhaa said he was asked to bring a chessboard and was pleasantly surprised when the Chief Minister agreed to play the game with him. The two reportedly played for around 15 minutes, during which the young Grandmaster emerged victorious.
Praggnanandhaa described the experience as unexpected and memorable, adding that he was impressed by the Chief Minister’s supportive and encouraging nature throughout the interaction.
The informal chess match highlighted the Chief Minister’s interest in engaging with young sporting talent and created a warm moment of exchange between sports and public leadership.
