Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann hits back at BJP: ‘Punjab not a truck’
By Pioneer News Service

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday sharply rebutted the BJP’s claim that the “lotus will bloom in Punjab” after its West Bengal victory, saying the state is “not a truck that someone else will now drive.”
Responding to the BJP’s post-poll assertion, Mann said Punjab cannot be treated as a political prize to be claimed in turn, stressing the state’s independent identity and role in national crises.
He also dismissed the BJP’s prospects in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, claiming the party could end up winning no seats, despite its current presence of just two MLAs.
