President Murmu reviews IMA passing out Parade, calls induction of women cadets a historic milestone

Kerala-based model and Mrs Kerala Global 2025 runner-up Harsha Sunny has been arrested at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for allegedly smuggling hydroponic marijuana worth ₹11.82 crore. Customs officials intercepted the 28-year-old after she arrived from Bangkok and reportedly found her behavior suspicious during routine surveillance.
During a search of her luggage, officials recovered around 11.8 kg of hydroponic marijuana packed in multiple vacuum-sealed packets. Preliminary tests confirmed the substance as a banned narcotic, following which she was arrested under the NDPS Act and produced before a court, which remanded her to judicial custody.
Investigators are now probing the source and intended destination of the consignment, as well as possible links to an international drug trafficking network. Harsha reportedly claimed that an acquaintance she met during her trip asked her to carry the bag, though authorities are verifying the claim.
The case has drawn significant attention as Harsha Sunny is known in Kerala’s modelling circuit and was the runner-up in the Mrs Kerala Global 2025 beauty pageant. Officials believe the seizure highlights the growing challenge of hydroponic marijuana smuggling through international routes, particularly from Southeast Asia.
