Police nabs Meerut-based criminal after encounter in east Delhi

The Delhi Police has apprehended a Meerut-based man accused in murder cases after an exchange of fire with him near the Mayur Vihar-Akshardham road late Monday night, police sources said.

The sources said that many rounds were fired from both sides during the encounter, but no one was injured. The accused, who is wanted in connection with firing in the Chhawla area and murder cases in Delhi, was apprehended without any injury.
