PM Modi, Macron to Inaugurate Bharat Innovates Summit in France during European visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron will jointly inaugurate the Bharat Innovates Summit in Nice, France, on Sunday, marking a key highlight of India’s engagement with France in the field of technology and innovation.
According to India’s Ambassador to France Sanjeev Singla, speaking to Akashvani News, the summit aims to showcase India’s top deep-tech talent on a global platform. The initiative, curated by the Ministry of Education, focuses on promoting innovation-driven collaboration between India and international partners.
Singla said that more than 120 deep-tech startups have been selected for the event from a pool of over 1,200 applicants. These startups represent 13 different technology sectors, highlighting India’s growing strength in advanced and emerging technologies.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Nice on June 14 as part of his two-nation European tour, which also includes Slovakia. This visit will mark his first bilateral summit with President Macron since India and France elevated their relationship to a Special Global Strategic Partnership in February this year.
The summit is expected to strengthen cooperation in innovation, research, and startup ecosystems between the two countries.
