PanIIT AP summit to focus on deeptech, innovation
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has called on young innovators, entrepreneurs, IIT alumni and technology leaders to contribute to the state’s vision of a Swarna Andhra Pradesh, as the State prepares to host the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada on October 3.
“The energy, enterprise and ideas of our youth are the driving force behind our vision for a Swarna Andhra Pradesh!” Naidu said, highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as a hub for future-facing technologies including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, DeepTech, space-tech, clean energy, data centres and advanced manufacturing.
PanIIT Alumni India Chairman Prabhat Kumar, IRS, said: “The State’s global diaspora and potential in emerging technologies position it to become a major technology and innovation hub.”
Vice Chairman Amitabh Ranjan highlighted, “Andhra Pradesh’s coastline, mineral resources, connectivity and talent base are strategic advantages for technology-led growth.”
Summit Chair Swadeep Pillarisetti said the initiative seeks to connect technology, capital and skills across Government, industry and all 23 IITs, while co-chair Rajesh Dasari emphasised converting the state’s strengths into actionable partnerships.
Among the distinguished participants are Sunil Kumar Barnwal, CEO, National Health Authority; Sai Prasad Guttapalli, Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh; Hitesh Garg, India MD, NXP Semiconductors; Professor Ravindran, Head of School of AI, IIT Madras; Amith Singhee, Asia Pacific CTO, IBM India & South Asia; Arun Ramchandani, Head, L&T Aerospace; Yaram Vijay Kumar, India MD, Honeywell Aerospace; Dr Giridhar Parvatam, CSIR-CFTRI; and Lalit Aggarwal, Managing Director, India Region, SLB.
