Pakistan forces kill 10 terrorists in KPK province

Pakistan security forces have killed 10 terrorists in two separate incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military’s media wing said on Friday. The incidents occurred on Thursday in South Waziristan and Upper Dir districts against Fitna al Khawarij, a term the Government uses for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan’s military, a group of terrorists attempted to attack checkposts of security forces in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan.
The troops responded effectively to the attack, killing eight terrorists, it said. In the second incident in Dir district, security forces killed two more terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered during the operation.
The ISPR said the slain terrorists were involved in several terrorist activities in the area. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for eliminating 10 terrorists.
PM Sharif reaffirmed that operations against terrorism would continue with full resolve until the complete eradication of the menace.
