Nursing student found dead with injuries in Telangana's Bhadradri Kothagudem
An 18-year-old nursing student was found dead with injuries on her body under suspicious circumstances at Vengannapalem village in Julurupadu mandal of Telangana's Bhadradri Kothagudem district, police said.
The deceased was identified as Harini, a first-year BSc Nursing student at a college in Khammam.
Harini had returned to her native village two days ago for college holidays and was alone at home after her mother, Rajeshwari, went to a relative's house.
When Rajeshwari returned home late on Tuesday night, she could not find her daughter. With the help of villagers, she searched the house and found Harini's body behind the bathroom.
The injuries found on the body raised suspicions over the circumstances surrounding her death.
Rajeshwari expressed suspicion about a person living in a neighbouring house and sought a thorough investigation into her daughter's death.
Rajeshwari has been living with her two daughters since the death of her husband a few years ago. Harini was her elder daughter.
On receiving information, Julurupadu police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Further details are awaited.
