NCC cadets participate in I-Day parades in Guwahati, Nalbari

Cadets of the 1 Assam Battalion NCC, Guwahati Group, took part in Independence Day ceremonial parades across Guwahati and Nalbari, displaying discipline and coordinated drill performances during the 80th Independence Day celebrations.

At the Central Parade Ground in Khanapara, Guwahati, NCC cadets participated in the main state-level parade. The 1 Assam Bn NCC Junior Wing Girls Band Contingent secured the first runners-up position. The trophy was presented by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The St Francis De Sales School Brass Band, associated with the NCC, also performed at the venue. The band’s coordinated musical presentation drew appreciation from the audience.

A separate NCC contingent from 1 Assam Bn NCC participated in the Independence Day programme at the Gauhati High Court. The event was presided over by Chief Justice of Assam Ashutosh Kumar. The cadets took part in the ceremonial proceedings with standard drill discipline.

In Nalbari, the NCC contingent of Nalbari College secured the first runners-up position at the district-level parade held at the Central Parade Ground. The trophy was presented by Finance Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah.
