NCC Cadets of 1 Assam battalion mark Har Ghar Tiranga across Kamrup district
On the eve of the 80th Independence Day Celebrations, the NCC outfits of 1 Assam Battalion NCC, Guwahati Group, organised and participated in a series of patriotic events across Kamrup District under the national campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.
At KC Das Commerce College, a total of 40 NCC cadets participated in a Tiranga Rally and distributed national flags among citizens as a symbol of unity. The event was followed by an inspiring lecture by Brigadier Ranjit Borthakur, SM (Retd), on the theme ‘The Horrors of Partition’.
Cadets of Guwahati Commerce College also joined the celebrations with 20 NCC cadets taking out a Har Ghar Tiranga flag rally around the college campus.
At Gauhati College, NCC cadets along with cadets from 60 Assam Girls Bn NCC participated in a Tiranga Rally. The programme concluded with a drawing and poster-making competition aimed at promoting national integration and patriotism.
In Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko, 60 NCC cadets participated in a Har Ghar Tiranga Rally followed by the mass singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ and a Drawing & Poster Making competition.
The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from cadets and faculty members. The celebrations reflected the spirit of ‘Unity and Discipline’ and reaffirmed the commitment of NCC cadets to the nation on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
