Musical drama Sairaab promises soulful tracks, picturesque romance on Star Plus

Star Plus is set to launch its much-awaited romantic musical drama Sairaab on Monday, and viewers appear already emotionally invested in the lead pair even before the first episode goes on air.
Starring Madirakshi Mundle and Rohit Chandel as Noyonika and Ishaan respectively, Sairaab has generated buzz for its old-school romantic flavour, soulful music and picturesque visuals. The series follows an unconventional romance between a celebrated pop star and an ordinary woman who has for years been constrained by society’s labels and expectations.
Since the promos were released, social media has been abuzz with praise for the fresh concept and the chemistry between the leads. Many viewers said the show evokes the emotionally rich love stories that once defined Star Plus, with comments ranging from “Finally, a proper romance” to “This is giving old Star Plus vibes.”
The excitement heightened when Chandel and Mundle were formally introduced as Star Plus’s newest on-screen jodi during the grand Fashion Ke Rang, Rishton Ke Sang event that aired on Sunday night. Amid vibrant celebrations, dazzling performances and the congregation of the Star Parivaar, audiences got a glimpse of the duo, marking their entry into the channel in style.
