Mother’s video surfaces in complaint against IAS officer’s son, alleges daughter was assaulted

A complaint had earlier been filed in Delhi against the son of an IAS officer, alleging that he threatened to leak private photographs of a woman. The complaint had raised allegations of harassment and threats against the woman.

Now, a video of the woman’s mother has surfaced on social media, in which she has made fresh and serious allegations against the accused, claiming that he assaulted her daughter and threatened her and other members of the family.

In the video, the mother alleges that the accused came to meet her daughter late at night and subsequently assaulted her. She claims she was alerted by her domestic help after hearing a commotion and found her daughter lying in the bathroom with a swollen face and bleeding feet.

“I saw Moha lying in the bathroom. Her face was swollen and her feet were bleeding,” the woman says in the video, alleging that the accused dragged her daughter by her hair and repeatedly slapped her.

The mother further alleges that the accused took her daughter’s phone and ₹1 lakh that she had kept aside for her daughter’s fees. She also claims that he threatened her with an acid attack and issued rape threats.

“He told me, ‘I will throw acid on your face.’ He also gave rape threats to me and my daughter,” she alleges.

The woman also claims that she approached the police following the alleged incident but that officers were reluctant to register her complaint. According to her, she submitted a written complaint but was told that she would receive an acknowledgement later.

The mother says the location of her daughter’s allegedly stolen iPhone was subsequently traced through Apple’s Find My iPhone feature. “We found the location of the stolen phone through the Find My iPhone app. I asked the police to at least recover the phone,” she says in the video.

She further alleges that her daughter underwent a medical examination following the incident but questioned the manner in which the alleged assault was documented.

The mother has also alleged that the accused threatened other members of her family, including her husband, whom she says has a history of heart attacks.

The woman has attributed the alleged police inaction to the accused’s family background and claimed that his father’s position and influence could affect the case. “As long as this officer has power, nothing can happen in this case,” she says.

The allegations made in the video are yet to be independently verified. The mother has appealed to the public to support her family and amplify the video, saying, “I am requesting you as a mother. Today, I need you.”
