Mother, twins saved in high risk pregnancy

Artemis Hospitals successfully managed an exceptionally complex twin pregnancy, delivering healthy babies and ensuring the mother’s recovery through expert multidisciplinary care.
The 33-week pregnant woman, referred after another centre declined her case, faced life-threatening risks: severe pre-eclampsia, insulin-dependent diabetes, morbid obesity with BMI 67, cardiac function at 30-35 per cent LVEF, fetal growth restriction in one twin, and IVF conception. Led by Dr Deepika Aggarwal, Dr Rajesh Misra and Dr Srishti Aggarwal, specialists in gynecology, anaesthesia, cardiology and surgery collaborated on a detailed treatment plan.
An elective Caesarean on lasted two hours, navigating risks of hemorrhage, heart failure, and embolism. “This case was one of our most difficult,” said Dr. Aggarwal.
