Mega medical, dental camp held in Arunachal Pradesh

Marking the occasion of World Health Day, a Mega Medical and Dental Health Camp was organised on 05–06 April 2026 at Baririjo, Arunachal Pradesh, by Subansiri Healers under the aegis of Spear Corps. The initiative coincided with the vibrant Mopin Festival, further enhancing community participation. The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the local population, with a total of 179 civilians availing healthcare services.
This included 133 beneficiaries at the Medical Camp and 46 at the Dental Camp. The outreach programme was aimed at providing accessible and quality healthcare services to residents in this remote border region. A dedicated team of Army Medical and Dental officers conducted consultations, health screenings and delivered preventive care services. The camp also emphasised health awareness, early diagnosis and timely intervention, thereby contributing to improved health outcomes among the local community.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards community welfare and nation-building, particularly in far-flung and underserved areas. By bringing essential healthcare services closer to the people, the Army reinforces its role not only as a guardian of borders but also as a partner in public health and social development. The successful conduct of the camp exemplifies the spirit of military-civil fusion and Service Before Self.
