Brahmbhatt accuses CJP of targeting BJP-ruled states, favouring AAP-ruled state in school campaign

Activist Manish Brahmbhatt, who recently launched the Cockroach Janta Party-Democratic, on Friday criticised the Abhijeet Dipke-led CJP, alleging that the youth movement was deliberately targeting government schools in BJP-ruled states while overlooking schools in AAP-governed Punjab.

Speaking to reporters, Brahmbhatt alleged that CJP leaders were working in coordination with Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party and selectively visiting well-maintained schools in Punjab to promote their campaign.

"The CJP team chose to go to a dilapidated rural school in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and went to an AI-school in Punjab which was in good shape," he said.

The CJP had launched its 'School Thik Karo' campaign last month, with the stated aim of improving infrastructure and accountability in rural government schools.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das posted a video on Thursday showing party leaders visiting a government school in Punjab. In the post, Das said he was "impressed" with the Schools of Eminence in the state.

Brahmbhatt criticised the CJP for not visiting schools in Sangrur and Jalandhar, which he alleged were in poor condition.

"They did not go to schools in Sangrur and Jalandhar which are in a bad shape. They do not visit schools in Jharkhand either. They are only selecting schools in BJP-ruled states," he said.

He also alleged that the CJP, which emerged from a students' movement, was in "cahoots" with the AAP.

"Instead of the 'School Thik Karo' campaign, they should launch 'Neta Thik Karo' because if a leader is good, the schools will be good," Brahmbhatt said.

He further accused CJP convenor Abhijit Dipke of deceiving protesters who participated in the NEET paper leak protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar in June.

Brahmbhatt also alleged that Dipke was working at the behest of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.  (with inputs from PTI)
