Suthar's 10-wicket haul powers India to 165-run win over Sri Lanka

Rising left-arm spinner Manav Suthar claimed a match haul of 10 wickets as dominant India thrashed Sri Lanka by 165 runs in the opening Test of the two-match series here on Wednesday.
Chasing an improbable 372 for victory, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 206 in 77.4 overs in the post-lunch session, with Suthar claiming his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests.
The 24-year-old finished with impressive figures of 6/55 in the second innings and was well supported by Prasidh Krishna, who took 2/16.
Suthar, who made his Test debut against Afghanistan in June, had also been India's chief destroyer in Sri Lanka's first innings. His 4/76 helped India bowl out the hosts for 284 after the visitors had posted 462.
The 10-wicket match haul marks a memorable second Test for Suthar and underlines his growing importance to India's spin attack.
