Man kills mother-in-law in dispute in Rajasthan's Banswara

A man allegedly killed his mother-in-law in Rajasthan's Banswara district on Saturday, Aug 15th following a dispute with her, police said. The incident took place in the Housing Board area. The victim was identified as Lalita.
According to the victim's daughter, Laxmi, her husband had a dispute with her mother and allegedly killed her over the matter.
The accused fled the scene, police said. An object allegedly used in the crime and the key to his motorcycle were recovered from the spot.
Laxmi fainted on learning of the killing and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi, along with other senior officers, reached the scene. A forensic team collected evidence from the site.
Police said efforts were under way to trace the accused, with the circumstances and motive behind the killing still under investigation.
