The high-level summit is poised to serve as a non-politicised, solutions-oriented forum, drawing senior policymakers and eminent industry leaders from over 100 countries. The dialogue will focus on critical themes of global governance, sustainable development, and human-centric economic and technological progress.
The official invitation extended to Gopal highlights her “high global reputation and outstanding versatile expertise in urban transformation and future cities.” It further noted that her unique skill in fostering societal dialogue makes her contribution to the international forum “invaluable.”
As a renowned global thought leader and futurist, Gopal has graced the international stage at prestigious events such as the Artificial Intelligence Journey (AIJ) 2024 and the BRICS Innovation Forum 2023 in Moscow, the Commonwealth Local Government Conference (CLGC) 2023 in Rwanda, and the landmark COP21-UNFCCC in Paris. Her expertise is highly sought after by world leaders, evidenced by her keynote at the World Government Summit in Dubai in 2018, delivered upon the personal invitation of the UAE Prime Minister.
Beyond her work with the Foundation for Futuristic Cities, Gopal currently leads the Policy Research division for Women within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Her expertise in emerging technologies is further evidenced by her role as the Advisor for the Centre of Excellence in AI for Sustainable Cities at IIT Kanpur.
She has also contributed to India’s public sector governance, having served on the Board of Engineers India Limited (EIL) under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
The Moscow dialogue is expected to reinforce the collaborative efforts between nations in navigating the complexities of the 21st-century technological landscape while ensuring sustainable urbanisation.
