Three youths, including minor, killed as unidentified vehicle hits motorcycle in UP

Three youths, including a minor, were killed on Saturday after an unidentified vehicle rammed their motorcycle near Dudwa intersection in the Gursahaiganj police station area, police said.

The incident took place around 1.30 am when the three were returning home after going to Gursahaiganj to watch Janmashtami tableaux, police said.

According to Station House Officer Ajay Awasthi, the victims were identified as Anurag, 18, Ashish, 17, and Aman alias Krishna, 18.

“They had gone to Gursahaiganj to see the Janmashtami tableaux. They were returning home on a motorcycle at around 1.30 am. Near Dudwa intersection, an unidentified vehicle rammed into their motorcycle, leaving all three critically injured,” Awasthi said.

The injured youths were rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead, he said.

Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle and its driver.
