Jr NTR condemns AI deepfake targeting Janhvi Kapoor, calls for action against misuse

Actor Jr NTR has condemned the alleged misuse of artificial intelligence to create a sexually explicit deepfake video targeting actress Janhvi Kapoor, after manipulated footage from their song Chuttamalle surfaced online.
The fabricated video reportedly uses footage from Chuttamalle, the popular song featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor from Devara: Part 1. The original song was released in 2024 and became one of the film's most widely discussed tracks.
Jr NTR strongly condemned the creation and circulation of the manipulated content, calling for those responsible for misusing AI to be held accountable.
The incident has once again raised concerns over the misuse of AI technology to create non-consensual sexualised content involving public figures. The edited video has reportedly been circulating across social media platforms.
Janhvi Kapoor has previously spoken about the misuse of manipulated images and deepfakes. In an interview earlier this year, she recalled discovering a morphed image of herself on an adult website when she was 15 and said AI-generated content continues to affect her personal and professional life.
The latest incident also comes weeks after the Delhi High Court directed the removal of hundreds of sexually vulgar URLs involving Janhvi Kapoor in a case concerning her personality rights.
The controversy has renewed calls for stronger safeguards against the creation and circulation of non-consensual AI-generated content and for platforms to act swiftly when such material is reported.
