Jamia Hamdard signs MoU with NDTL

Jamia Hamdard has signed a MoU with the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) to promote collaborative research, training, and human resource development in the specialized and emerging area of doping science.
The MoU aims to strengthen academic–scientific cooperation in areas such as anti-doping research, development of reference materials, advanced analytical methods, gene doping detection approaches, and capacity building to serve national and global needs.
The signing ceremony was hosted by Dr PL Sahu, Director, National Dope Testing Laboratory, along with officials and scientific staff of the laboratory.
The Jamia Hamdard delegation was led by Prof (Dr) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard. The signing ceremony was followed by a visit to the NDTL facilities, where the Jamia Hamdard delegation was briefed about the laboratory’s advanced analytical infrastructure and its important role in promoting clean and fair sport. Speaking on the occasion, Sahu said this MoU will open new opportunities for structured training, skill development, and scientific exposure of students and young researchers to the highly specialized field of anti-doping science.
“Jamia Hamdard has a strong academic and research foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, toxicology, pharmacology, and allied disciplines. Through this collaboration, Jamia Hamdard will provide access to its research infrastructure, academic expertise, and technical knowledge to support innovative work in doping science.
The MoU will encourage collaborative research in areas such as development of reference materials, gene doping methods, and advanced analytical approaches, while also contributing to the training of skilled human resources,” said Prof Alam.
