ISI spy ring busted in Punjab

In a significant breakthrough, Counter Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Punjab Police has busted two ISI-backed espionage rings using Chinese CCTV cameras to leak live feed to Pakistan. Key operative Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha from Ferozepur was apprehended and two high- tech China-made solar-powered CCTV equipment with 4G connectivity was recovered from Kapurthala.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said, “In a major breakthrough, Kapurthala Police in a joint operation with central agencies has busted Pakistan’s ISI-backed espionage module, apprehends two accused from Ferozepur, and recovers four mobile phones linked to foreign handlers, along with surveillance equipment installed near Kapurthala.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in direct contact with Pakistan-based handlers and had allegedly installed a CCTV device with SIM-based connectivity to transmit live footage of sensitive locations through mobile applications”.
Giving details about the busting of the ISI backed espionage ring by the CIU Jalandhar, DGP Punjab said, “An FIR has been registered at PS State Special Operation Cell, Amritsar.”
