IRCON appoints Suman Bala as Independent Director

IRCON International Limited has appointed Smt Suman Bala as an Independent (Part-Time Non-Official) Director on its Board with effect from August 17, 2026.

Her appointment is for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, pursuant to an order issued by the Ministry of Railways on August 13, 2026.

Suman Bala, 50, is a commerce graduate from the University of Delhi and has previously served as Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad. 

She has experience in urban governance, public administration, institutional management, stakeholder engagement and public-service delivery.

IRCON has confirmed that she is not related to any existing director of the company and has not been debarred from holding a directorship by SEBI or any other authority.
IRCON International is a Navratna public-sector infrastructure company under the Ministry of Railways.
