INS Sudarshini represents India at US International Naval review 250 in New York

The Indian Navy's sail training ship INS Sudarshini represented India at the United States International Naval Review 250 and Sail4th 250 celebrations in New York, held to mark the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
The iconic three-masted barque participated in the grand Parade of Sail on the Hudson River, proudly flying the Indian tricolour alongside naval vessels and tall ships from several countries.
According to the Embassy of India in the United States, INS Sudarshini's participation showcased India's rich maritime heritage and reflected the Indian Navy's commitment to strengthening international maritime cooperation.
The vessel is currently undertaking Lokayan 2026, a 10-month transoceanic expedition aimed at promoting goodwill, naval diplomacy and stronger ties with partner nations across the world.
Before arriving in New York, the ship completed engagements in Norfolk and Baltimore as part of the Sail250 programme. The International Naval Review 250 has brought together naval ships, aircraft and personnel from numerous countries, highlighting global maritime collaboration during the historic celebrations. INS Sudarshini's participation reinforces India's growing role in international naval diplomacy and its commitment to promoting peace and cooperation across the seas.
