Industry leaders push Industry 4.0 adoption by MSMEs

Industry leaders and policymakers have stressed the critical role of India’s tools and equipment sector in expanding manufacturing, with MSMEs urged to embrace Industry 4.0, automation and occupational safety.
Speaking at the event, Yadu Kumar Yadav, Deputy Director, NPC-DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said, “India’s next phase of manufacturing growth will depend on enabling MSMEs to move from lean manufacturing towards Industry 4.0 and IoT-enabled systems.”
The three-day Tools & Equipment Expo 2026, organised by Informa Markets India at Bharat Mandapam, features more than 300 exhibitors, 2,000 products, 150-plus launches and over 8,000 industry professionals. Participation from Germany, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong reflects growing global interest in India’s market.
