Indian envoy meets official of China Law Society Wang Hongxiang
India’s Ambassador to China Vikram Doraiswami has met Wang Hongxiang, Executive Vice President of China Law Society and a Member of the Standing Committee of China’s parliament, who will be visiting India soon.
Doraiswami met Wang on Wednesday, the Indian Embassy posted on X on Friday. In the context of Wang leading a delegation to India soon, the ambassador was briefed about the work and activities of China Law Society, its engagement with international partners and its interest in future cooperation possibilities, the post said.
In Shanghai, Consul General of India Pratik Mathur met Li Dong, President of Shanghai CCPIT (China Council for Promotion of International Trade) on Thursday and discussed initiatives to strengthen the bilateral economic and commercial ties and expand business-to-business engagement.
Discussions covered greater market access for Indian exports, targeted B2B matchmaking, business delegations, company visits and cooperation in areas including advanced manufacturing, AI and technology, green development, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, automotive, textiles and logistics, a post on X by Shanghai Consulate said. Both sides agreed to strengthen regular communication and practical cooperation to facilitate greater trade, investment and two-way business engagement.
Earlier, Mathur hosted the inaugural ViksitBharat Lecture on the India Way-Pharma Leadership inspired by AYUSH heritage.
Addressing the gathering, Mathur recalled “our traditional approach to well-being and mental health as well as our focus on emerging technologies which has ensured that the health-care sector is more resilient and sustainable”, the Post said.
