Indian Bank honoured with Rajbhasha Kirti Award
Indian Bank, one of the leading Public Sector Banks of the country, has been honoured with the “Second Prize” under the “Rajbhasha Kirti Award” for the year 2025-26 at the Hindi Diwas Celebration, organised during the 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference 2025 held in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Indian Bank has received this award for the third consecutive year in recognition of its “Outstanding Performance in the field of Rajbhasha Implementation”. Shiv Bajrang Singh, Executive Director, Indian Bank received the award from the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar & Nityanand Rai in the presence of Secretary, Rajbhasha, Ms Ansuli Arya, on the first day of the two-day 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference at the Sidco Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai. On this occasion, the coffee table book “Main Dilli Hoon” published by Indian Bank was also released.
This honour demonstrates the Bank’s strong commitment to the successful implementation of the Official Language Policy and the promotion of Hindi in banking operations. Indian Bank remains dedicated to providing banking services across the country with the spirit of “Customer Service in the Customer’s Language.”
On the second day of the conference, September 15, 2025, Indian Bank’s Corporate Office, Chennai- the convener of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Banks/FIs) Chennai was honoured in the “Best Category” under the TOLIC RAJBHASHA SAMMAN for its outstanding performance in implementing the Official Language Policy of the Union in its jurisdiction. The award was received by VN Maya, Chief General Manager, Indian Bank, Corporate Office and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager (OL) and Member Secretary of TOLIC. Indian Bank, Zonal Office, Kanchipuram, convener of the Kanchipuram Town Official Language Implementation Committee and Indian Bank, Zonal Office, Puducherry, convener of the Puducherry Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Bank), were honoured in the “Commendable Category” under the TOLIC RAJBHASHA SAMMAN for their outstanding performance in implementing the Union’s Official Language policy of the Union in their respective jurisdictions. The award for Kanchipuram NARAKAS was received by Gopa Kumar GS, Zonal Manager, Indian Bank, Kanchipuram & Chairman, NARAKAS and Suraj Prasad Saw, Senior Manager and Member Secretary, NARAKAS. The award for Puducherry NARAKAS was received by Rajesh Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager (OL), Indian Bank, Corporate Office & and Sumit Saw, Member Secretary, NARAKAS.
Pranesh Kumar, Field General Manager, Mumbai and office staff members were also present at the event. Indian Bank set up a stall for the Official Language exhibition, which was highly appreciated by everyone.
