India to host International Type 1 Diabetes Summit 2026 in Jodhpur

The Friends of Mewar, in collaboration with Breakthrough T1D and the William J Clinton Foundation, have announced that the International Type 1 Diabetes Summit 2026 will be held from July 30 to August 1 in Jodhpur.

The three-day summit will bring together endocrinologists, policymakers, researchers and patient advocates from the US, Australia and across India to deliberate on equitable Type 1 Diabetes care. The announcement comes as Type 1 Diabetes in children has received formal recognition in India’s national health policy, expected to boost focus on early diagnosis and affordable treatment.

Padmaja Kumari Parmar, founder of The Friends of Mewar and Global Ambassador for Breakthrough T1D, said, “This summit is an invitation to translate awareness into action and policy. Behind every diagnosis is a child and a family who deserve support.”

Key discussions will cover insulin access, diabetes technology, mental health and digital innovation. The host city for the 2027 summit will be announced in Jodhpur.
