India, Taiwan deepen AI collaboration at Convergence India Expo 2026

India and Taiwan have stepped up their collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure with the launch of the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at the Convergence India Expo 2026, being held at Bharat Mandapam from March 23 to 25.
Organised by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by TAITRA, the pavilion showcases Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductors, AI, and AIoT technologies. Built around the theme “Taiwan AI Island,” it features over 40 products from 17 leading Taiwanese companies, highlighting solutions across edge AI, industrial computing, data storage, and smart mobility.
Speaking at a press meet, Estela Chen, Executive Director, Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, noted that bilateral trade between India and Taiwan has reached a record USD 12.5 billion, reflecting growing economic ties and investment opportunities. She emphasised Taiwan’s role in supporting India’s Digital India and Smart Cities initiatives. Company representatives from firms such as Phison, ADLINK, IBASE, Lanner, and Wincomm demonstrated advanced AI applications in industrial automation, edge computing, and network security.
The pavilion also featured cultural performances and was attended by actor Taapsee Pannu.
It will host interactive sessions and business engagements throughout the expo, fostering deeper industry collaboration between the two sides.
