Indian men's, women's skeet teams win bronze medals at Asian Games

India's men's and women's skeet teams won bronze medals at the Asian Games here on Wednesday, adding two more medals to the country's shooting haul.

After three days of qualification rounds, the women's trio of Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal finished third with a combined score of 331.

China won gold with 357 points, while Kazakhstan took silver with 336.

The men's team of Anantjeet Singh Naruka, veteran Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Bhavtegh Singh Gill also secured bronze with a total of 346.

In skeet, each shooter can score a maximum of 125 points.

Anantjeet, who also qualified for the individual final, scored 119 points, while Mairaj and Bhavtegh recorded 116 and 111 respectively.

In the women's event, Raiza and Parinaaz both scored 111 points, while Maheshwari finished with 109.

Raiza and Parinaaz will have another opportunity to win a medal after qualifying for the women's individual final. Raiza finished eighth in qualification and Parinaaz ninth.

India's shooting contingent now has four silver and three bronze medals at the Games.
