India became 4th largest economy under Modi: Bihar CM

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying under his leadership India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy.
Addressing a media interaction programme organised here to mark 12 years of the Modi Government, Choudhary also underscored the “enormous trust reposed by the people in his leadership at every critical juncture”.
“When Modi announced demonetisation in 2016, the entire nation stood behind him. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people across the country heeded his advice to stay indoors during the lockdown. Now, amid another global crisis triggered by the war in West Asia, people trust Modi’s ability to steer the country through the situation,” said Choudhary, who took over as chief minister less than two months ago.
Congratulating Modi on the milestone of becoming the country’s longest-serving prime minister, Choudhary said, “New India is confidently establishing its identity on every global platform. Under his leadership, India has leapfrogged from the 11th-largest economy in the world to the fourth-largest.” “The BJP, under Modi ji, is a party that fulfils its commitments, including the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” he said.
Referring to the prime minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, Choudhary said it was an ambitious blueprint to transform India into a fully developed nation.
“Similarly, the NDA Government is committed to building a Viksit Bihar. We are confident that under the guidance of Modi ji, Bihar will further advance on the path of progress, prosperity and self-reliance, infusing new energy and momentum into the resolve of ‘Viksit Bihar 2047’,” he said. The chief minister said the State Government has decided to make it mandatory to grant all industrial and investment approvals within 30 days to promote investment in Bihar.
“We are confident that the State will attract investments worth Rs 5 lakh crore by November 20 this year,” he said. The State Government has also decided to develop airports/heliports/airstrips in most of the districts in the State, he added.
Highlighting initiatives for women, he said the NDA Government has launched several development schemes aimed at their empowerment.
Praising the Centre’s efforts to eliminate Left-wing extremism, Choudhary said, “Naxalism has been eradicated in Bihar.”
