Hyundai expands charging network to power EV growth

Hyundai Motor India is stepping up its role in shaping India’s electric vehicle ecosystem with a major expansion of its charging infrastructure.
The company has integrated more than 30,000 EV charging points into its myHyundai app, positioning it as one of the country’s largest unified charging networks accessible via a single digital platform. Alongside this, Hyundai plans to scale its proprietary DC fast-charging network from 183 stations today to 600 by 2030, signalling a long-term commitment to EV adoption.
A key strategic move is keeping the network open to all EV owners, not just Hyundai customers, which strengthens brand perception while supporting broader market growth. Through the app, users can discover stations in real time, navigate, book slots in advance, and pay digitally, addressing one of the biggest friction points in EV ownership: charging anxiety.
Hyundai’s network now offers average charging access within a 25 km radius, covering major EV corridors such as Delhi–Gurgaon–Jaipur, Mumbai–Pune–Bengaluru, and Chennai–Vellore–Bengaluru, with stations located near food and refreshment hubs to enhance the user experience.
With over 3 lakh EV users served, 50 lakh+ kWh of energy delivered, and an estimated 3.5 million kg of CO2 emissions avoided, Hyundai’s infrastructure push underscores how OEM-led charging investments can accelerate India’s transition to cleaner mobility.
